COURSE DESCRIPTION
This 6 hour CME course is designed to provide updated, pragmatic, problem-solving information for practicing anatomic pathologists. It will focus on the resolution of diagnostic pitfalls in an array of difficult areas of surgical pathology. This course is presented in a slide seminar format by two distinguished faculty members with expertise in their respective fields and experienced in post graduate educational activities at the national and international levels. Time is scheduled for questions and answers. A comprehensive syllabus containing full color illustrations will be distributed at the beginning of the course. The PowerPoint presentations for each topic are included in the course fee and will be available on our Website.

COURSE OBJECTIVES
Selected Topics in Uterine Corpus Pathology - Dr. Esther Oliva

• Have a good understanding of the main subtypes of endometrial carcinoma, focussing on endometrioid, mucinous and serous subtypes, encompassing histologic and immunohistochemical features and entities to rule out in the differential diagnosis
• Have a good understanding of the diagnostic criteria of mullerian adenosarcoma, histologic factors associated with prognosis and differential diagnosis
• Have a good understanding of the spectrum of endometrial stromal tumors, an overview of the main entities in the differential diagnosis and the role of immunohistochemistry in differential diagnosis
• Have a good understanding of the diagnostic criteria for the different subtypes of uterine leiomyosarcoma

Selected Topics in Uropathology - Dr George J. Netto
Upon completion of this session, participants will be able to:
• Accurately Apply the Urothelial Carcinoma 2004 WHO/ISUP Grading System in Daily Practice.
• Achieve the Ability to Recognize Unusual Variants of Bladder Carcinoma on Transurethral Biopsies
• Acquire Morphologic Clues Needed to Appropriately Identify Histologic Mimickers of Urothelial Carcinoma
• Recognize Morphologic Changes Introduced By Prior Therapy Effect.
• Become Familiar with Clinico-pathologic and Emerging Molecular Prognostic Parameters in Urothelial Carcinoma
